I just upgraded to Fedora2 and my slip connection is now failing.

I receive an error now

DIP: tty: open(/dev/ptype, RW): No such device or address

here is my dip.conf file

============
port ptype
get $local 192.168.1.254
get $remote 192.168.36.1
mode slip

I am using dip-3.3.7o-23 and this script and dip version worked
fine with this device.. Did I forget to do anything with this device since
the upgrade
