RAID and Partition Size Limits?
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
I am setting up a (hardware) raid that is 3.5TB. I would like to use
this as one partition. Is there a limit in Linux on hard drive partitions?
The system is a Promise Hardware raid that has 15 250GB hard drives in
it set up as Raid5 connected with an Adaptec SCSI controller. Promises
interface acknowledges that is it set up as a 3.485TB RAID and I have
one logical partition on the whole RAID.
When I run fdisk to partition it, it only lets me get up to 1.285TB. Is
this a limit of Linux (running kernel 2.6 in Fedora 2)?
Suggestions?
