Please run "rpm --help" and check for which pupose the "-ta" parameter
is to be used. Here it is wrong.

Wayne,

if you will go on with the compilation of the SRC.RPM, then you will
certainly need to install it to be able to edit the spec file. Without
looking inside it I am sure it has a logic to check the value of "uname
-r" and making that a build requirement. As your kernel is not
registered in the RPM database the requirement can't be fulfilled.
