I'd like to see...
A graphical installer that configures USB storage properly and detects when new storage is connected. Like autousbcam but with better gnome support. Ideally extend support to other hotplug devices eg. firewire.
GUI support for Bluetooth device auto detection and config. Like gnome-bluetooth-manager.
Gnome GUI support for ACPI features - temperature, suspend, CPU throttling, power management modes when charging / discharging. Like battstat-applet on steroids.
