Is ipv6 listed in lsmod?
Unless you're using ipv6, kill it by adding
install ipv6 /bin/true
in your /etc/modprobe.conf
May I ask why this is done, and what its purpose is?
Also, doesn't it seem backwards to install something to true in order to shut it off? And why would IPv6 be a problem for DNS?
Any comments appreciated.
