httpd dies silently

httpd-2.0.49-4 dies silently when using

ErrorLog "|/usr/local/bin/multilog n10 s1048576 /etc/httpd/logs/error"

with

drwxr-xr-x  2 root root 552  2. Jun 17:43 /etc/httpd/logs/error

Someone else seeing this?
