Hi, I have an ext3 drive which has data on it, and I'd like to mirror this drive with Linux software mirroring. Without losing any data, can I just plug in the second drive, modify the /etc/raidtab file to incorporate both drives in a mirror and then bring up the md device for that raid set? ie. will linux automatically start to build the mirror retaining all the data?
