I just installd the script.
Its not working and I think that the issue is the unmounting, but as I looked in the logs I can see that the umount command gets executed but with an error.

This time it worked a few times but the again the error. I was logged in, in KDE but nothing happened.
I think I will reinstall FC2 and try it again.

Sounds like you are not unmounting the stick before your pull it out? (I meant to say this in my first reply but wrote mount instead of umount)
Shouldn’t it be that the same stick is always called the same.
I think it will get called the first free name.
I’m going to tray your script now.
If unmounting was the issue, you may find it helps, it sets up autofs to auto mount and unmount the device.
