Hi,
during the install a message dialog appears saying "unable to align partition" i ignored the message but after the setup ran well the boot hangs.
Any idea ?
update from RHL9 - FC2, no great problems fc2 is booting.
while installation i had the same message "unable to align partition"
switching to tty1 will tell you:
"unable to align partition properly.
this probably means that an other partitioning tool generated an incorrect partition table, because it didn´t have the correct BIOS geometry.
it is safe to ignore, but ignoring may cause (fixable) problems with some boot loaders.
96"
switching to tty2 you could see something like this with sfdisk:
# sfdisk -l
[...]
warning:
the partition table looks like it was made for C/H/S=*/255/63 (instead of 77557/16/63)
for the listing i assume this geometry
warning:
start = 63 - this looks like a partition rather than the entire disk
what luck that i have no win-dual-boot :-)
