This is a 'standard' problem with USB. Things get recognized in different orders on different boots, or as mentioned in an earlier post, if you just mount them when you need them. Its a real pain under the 2.4.x kernel, but is one of those nice things in going to 2.6. Take a look at the 'udev' package. With it you can cause devices to 'appear' on whatever device name you want. I have a USB Disk and a USB key, and they played tag with sda/sdb as your are. Now they just come up on usbdisk and usbkey, no problems at all. -- Reg.Clemens reg@xxxxxxx
