root@quicksilver fedora]# rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/sbin/smartctl kernel-utils-2.4-9.1.101.fedora smartmontools-5.30-1
The one that comes with Fedora in the kernel-utils is pretty old. Get the latest and you will need to install it with --force and --nodeps.
