You are running Sendmail. > My configuration by the way is that the linux box is behind a Linksys > router so the machine has a 192.168.1.30 address and is on my network. Your "problem" is the default security setting to let Sendmail (valid for default Postfix too) only listen on localhost. That means for outside connections no MTA is listening on the public port 25. Go to /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, search for the DAEMON_OPTIONS line, read the comments there and do what's needed. And I highly recommend and advise you to read the available documentation for running a mail server. > mike Alexander -- Alexander Dalloz | Enger, Germany | GPG key 1024D/ED695653 1999-07-13 Fedora GNU/Linux Core 1 (Yarrow) on Athlon CPU kernel 2.4.22-1.2188.nptl Sirendipity 13:45:47 up 3 days, 12:34, load average: 0.28, 0.44, 0.44 [ ÎÎÏÎÎ Ï'ÎÏÏÎÎ - gnothi seauton ] my life is a planetarium - and you are the stars
