That sounds like a common solution.

So the RAID box having a SCSI interface you must have a SCSI card inside
the server itself. Which brand and type is that? Is that card not
recognized? What does "cat /proc/scsi/scsi" and "ls /proc/scsi/" report?
How is the SCSI controller recognized by Fedora, see "dmesg" and "lspci
-vv".
