I am now waiting for another manufacturer to get back to me before I try purchacing another KVM.
I have had excellent results with Avocent equipment (used to be Cybex). I have two four-port KVM switches from them, from almost their cheapest line (around $150, IIRC) and they work perfectly with any OS I put on any box. Keyboard and mouse are wireless Logitech plugged into the KVM switch's PS/2 ports.
