I have a few StarView 2-port (model SV201) and 4-port KVM (model SV401)
here at home and have never had any problems with them switching from
any combinations of windows (xp, nt, 2k, 95/8) and various linux
distributions. It's always just worked for me (but I never use any
really fancy mousing software either - plain, inexpensive USB optical
wheel mouse into a PS/2 adapter for the KVM switch).
