I haven't altered any default settings since installing FC1 but on boot up and shutdown there is a problem with smartd which is always marked as having failed to both start up and shut down.
When I check in service configuration I see the following message:
"smartd dead but subsys locked"
What is this all about? What do I have to do to get smatd "undead"?
I tried stopping and starting the application but it made no difference.
