Hello-

Can anybody recommend any laptops that work well with FC1? By "works well" I guess I mean that things like power management, sleep/awake with the closing of the lid, and (if present) video acceleration are all well supported .

My IBM T30 works great... all the features work (the modem may not, but I've never tried it). ThinkPads are pricey, but well worth it IMHO.

Except for the on-board modem, my IBM T40 looks fine (I haven't tested
extensively tough). I use ndiswrapper for the wireless card. Apparently
IBM has a driver for the modem, but since I don't use it I haven't tried
it yet.

Fujitsu C2220 Lifebook (2.4GHz, 1400x1050, ndiswrapper for the Broadcom wireless, 8139too for the built-in ethernet) works fine. Haven't tried the modem yet (no need for it). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - When all else fails, try reading the instructions. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
