Seems like I read somewhere that lokkit's inability to remember and/or display existing settings was a bug, but that seems doubtful given how long I've been using it without seeing a fix (Red Hat AS 2.1, Red Hat 9.0 and now Fedora). I use lokkit to open and close ports on my server and have not had any problems I didn't create. I keep a cheat sheet handy --nothing more frustrating then tio be working on a project only to find a service is off line because you left it off your list!.

Thanks, I did that and I saw what was presented during install.  However, I was hesitant to use the program because it dud not show the current settings.  Any comment on why it would not see the current settings?

OK, I found the client. Many versions and sources not really sure
which one to use. The problem now is how to get the fedora firewall
to allow port 5900 through. During the install there was an
opportunity to
add ports. Does anyone know how to bring this GUI back up or is there

Unfortunately, IIRC, The Stock FC GUI does not really allow you to put
in
the ports # you want. I think I couldn't even put in SMB ports there.
I can't remember, I've removed the RPM.

I'm now using Shorewall. (www.shorewall.net)
I've heard of Guarddog and a few others which is GUI based.

I'm comfy with SHorewall. So..
