Hmmm...that's funny I've read that the man (Linus) himself use a Sony laptop.
I'm fairly confident that Linus could get Linux to run on pretty much anything vaguely normal on the market today. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see equipment manufacturers throwing stuff at him and some others just to make them like it and see if that was a cheap way to promote Linux driver support... <grin>
