Fedora Core 1 Installation via NFS / no Fedora Core Installation Tree

hi list,

i am trying to install a Fedora Core 1 on a Cobalt Raq3 via NFS. The install
kernel and initrd from the boot.iso is loaded via nfs and the installer is
starting up correctly.

i can choose my preferred language and the installation method. now, when i
choose nfs and give my server and nfs path (/var/fedora1) it says "That
directory does not seem to contain a Fedora Core installation tree".

in the logs of the nfs server i just see the authenticated nfs request and
no further errors. in the nfspath (var/fedora1) there is even the unpacked
content of the 3 cds and also the 3 isoimages (permissions are all 777).

any more ideas what is going wrong?

thanks,
tobias
