| the uploaded file but do not know if ClamAV or another can detect 
| viruses on FTPed files, especially if the file is infected with a 
| Windows virus but stored on a Fedora server.

Roger,
    ClamAV detects most if not all Windows Viruses.
    They have modules for Apache, Samba, and other mail agents; but,
currently none for FTP.  There is one for tFTP I believe.
