Yeah that may be the problem. I know there is an issue with FC2 test releases about X and how it handles the mouse device, I don't know if that has fallen through to an updated FC1 kernel or not (I bet not since it's with 2.6 the mouse issue rears its head). Can you still boot with the original kernel?
