Bad news, I'm afraid. My mum has one of these, and we could never even get it to work in Win2k, let alone linux. The sane project reports all Visioneer models as "unspported:" http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#VISIONEER Maybe donate the Visioneer to a local charity and pick up an Epson scanner instead.
