I started the X window and selected the language in Chinese, I mounted my data file by ;
mount -o iocharset=cp950 /dev/dhl5 /mnt/ms
When I use ls to see my file in Chinese, it displayed something like "?????{????.doc"
Exact same procedure and commands I used in RH9, I could see the same file in Chinese characters perfectly.

I don't know if this is related to bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233051
but font zh_CN was removed. From my documents.
Creating a symlink from /usr/share/fonts/zh_CN/TrueType/gbsn00lp.ttf to /usr/share/fonts/zh_CN/TrueType/zysong.ttf stopped the crash.
You can try this and see if it works.
