hi,
my name is axel. im planning to build/buy a server that is based on 4
opteron chips.
i checked several linux distribs and found on the redhat page, that there is
the enterprise edition that supports a 4-way opteron combo. it costs about
1900 US $ a year. i hope that this price is only for the distrib including
the enterprise level bundle of software. to speak frank i don't really need
the software since my box will be a video server, with our own software
running it. i only need a basic linux, fedora preferred, that supports my
rig with all 4 processors.
my question: will the fedora support this 4-way opteron box or do i really
have to switch to some expensive enterprise edition?
thnx for any answers/hints/help
:)
