Hi Scott, I was absolutely amazed at the use of synaptic. I really was fumbling around to locate dependencies for kb3 and there is quite alot of work involved to do so. I had even went to RHN hoping to find those dependencies with no luck whatsoever. Up2date had fell sadly short of helping me and to reconfigure it on a fresh install to accept different mirrors was a pain also. Up2date is great for RHN specific products but for FC1, synaptic simplified the process of loading packages, deleting packages and determining dependencies for them. thanks for your input and help, it's a great tip and program. ===== Merrill A.
