kde start and close sounds

Hi 
On RH9 and Taroon KDE plays some audio as part of the login and out
procedure can it be set up to do the same on Fedora?
I have not found any reference to it yet.
I can play streamimg audio and I have Volume up on all KMix sliders
except mic.
