My system runs FC1 with all the latest updates (except yum) ... I run "yum list available" and get:
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Released Updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers No Packages Available to List
This is what I expected. Then after installing yum 2.0.5-1 I run "yum list available" and get:
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)

Name Arch Version Repo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
glibc i386 2.3.2-101.4 updates-released
kernel athlon 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl updates-released
kernel i586 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl updates-released
openssl i386 0.9.7a-23 base
The system already has glibc 2.3.2-101.4 installed ... the i686 version. It already has kernel 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl installed ... the i686 version. Same for openssl.
When I revert back to yum 2.0.4-2, I don't have this problem.
Has anyone else noticed this?
