It did work, in a way. I ssh'ed into the box, and manually edited /etc/aliases. I ran newaliases, and it worked on sending it to the PCS phones and the pager, but the account no longer was getting the emails when checked via IMAP. After playing around, I changed the line for this account: emergency: SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,PAGER-NUMER to this: emergency: SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,SPRINT-PCS-EMAIL,PAGER-NUMER,emergency Adding the emergency to the end of the line got the emails going back to the local account, and it's now going to all the PCS phones and pager. Thanx so much for that tip. I though restarting sendmail would of loaded the new aliases, but I guess not. The newaliases command worked, and then adding the local account name to the end, got the emails going to the account. -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adam Voigt Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2004 1:43 PM To: For users of Fedora Core releases Subject: RE: Sendmail / Email copy Well if the "newaliases" doesn't work, did you actually edit a sendmail alias in /etc/mail? If yes, did you run "make -C /etc/mail" to have sendmail re-generate it's internal DB's? The steps I would do, is: 1. Edit the appropriate file in /etc/mail. 2. Run: "make -C /etc/mail" 3. Run: "service sendmail restart" It's possible none of what I'm saying will work, but it won't hurt either. On Wed, 2004-03-17 at 14:39, admin@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Ah, no I did not.
