The source code driver by Promise is not much better. See their commenting on the download page. (I did my performance tests with both drivers and Linux software RAID and was very disappointed from the drivers.) I highly recommend using software RAID by Fedora GNU/Linux. It is faster and you have much better chances in case of array errors to handle these without loosing data. Alexander P.S. Please trim your quotes!
