It's a little bit of work:

KDE and Gnome are different to configure, e.g. for KDE see
http://www.sm6rpz.se/bluecurve.html, Gnome is configured in Preferences
-> Themes ...

More Themes can be found at art.gnome.org and kdelook.org. But it's a
little tricky, for their themes usually are only for KDE _OR_ Gnome.
kdelook.org also offers some GTK themes at
http://kdelook.org/index.php?xcontentmode=15&PHPSESSID=9500789d05e95ae110debb8d8b1f59e0
for a constant look of your desktop.
