I'm not sure what you're seeing, but my laptop is 1024 x 768, I already have six columns of icons in seven rows, and still have half the screen on the right available... I use gnome, but I tried kde and I have a column of six icons with room below them, so I'm sure that I could have as many as I do on gnome. Just how big are your icons, anyway??? ---- Robert P.
