What is the meaning of this? Did you check your named configuration if you have defined there anywhere this IP? Did you define that as listen IP? > In samba I have bigger problems: There are numerous lib/access.c:check_access(328) reports with all sorts of real ip addresses, although my samba configuration only allows local lan. Does this mean taht all these ips tried to inflatrate samba shared folders? Limiting access to the samba shares through smb.conf only affects TCP. The UDP ports are still open if you do not close them using iptables. There might be numerous viri/worms for Windows[tm] targets trying to invade your system. > Also for samba In have a few : > > lib/fault.c:fault_report(37) INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in pid 29365 (3.0.0-15) Please read the appendix Bugs of the Samba HOWTO collection > > I read the SAMBA How to about this but did not understand much? What is this? If these are all serious problems, how can I take precautions? Samba is dieing with SIG 11. Do you have additional problems with other programs/services as well? Then check your RAM. > Sorry for my pure newbei questions and bad english.... > > Have a nice day Alexander -- Alexander Dalloz | Enger, Germany | GPG key 1024D/ED695653 1999-07-13 Fedora GNU/Linux Core 1 (Yarrow) on Athlon CPU kernel 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl Sirendipity 15:44:25 up 16:03, 7 users, 0.23, 0.15, 0.10 [ ÎÎÏÎÎ Ï'ÎÏÏÎÎ - gnothi seauton ] my life is a planetarium - and you are the stars
