Hi,
I tried to update a redhat 9 server to fedora core 1. The update
failed with an error like: The installationimage couldn't be
transfered. Maybe insufficient free disk space.
After a Reboot, the server started but I can't query or install rpm
packages:
[root@klee rpm]# rpm -qa
rpmdb: write: 0xbfffc610, 8192: Das Argument ist ungültig
Fehler: db4 error(22) from dbenv->open: Das Argument ist ungültig
Fehler: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Das Argument ist
ungültig (22)
Fehler: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
no packages
Any Ideas?
Thanks for all hints!

Looks like what I've had when updating from RH9 to FC1 last friday...
Remove the /var/lib/rpm/__db* files , then run rpmdb --rebuilddb -v .
It'll print lots of things.. when it's done , try the rpm -qa again...
it'll work perfectly...
