For example, is the AMD > Athlon XP a 64 bit processor or a 32bit? if it says amd 64 or opteron then it's 64bit... if you're considering a move to 64bit amd then you're also considering a motherboard upgrade. if you're consdering an athlon xp as a drop-in replacement for another athlon xp you need to be mindful that your current motherboard may not support a 333mhz or 400mhz fsb cpu core which would practically limit you to an athlon xp 2400+ or something similar... That's not a bad cpu by any means and they're cheap (~$80 or less). > Thanks! > - Tim > > > -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joel Jaeggli Unix Consulting joelja@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx GPG Key Fingerprint: 5C6E 0104 BAF0 40B0 5BD3 C38B F000 35AB B67F 56B2
