What is a ".run" file? In general, where you get files from you should
read the instructions! Do not install or try to install things you know
nothing about! This is nothing but stupid.

If it is a self executing binary - find out by running "file foo.run"
(where foo is the filename) - and you know what it is for and what it
does:

chmod +x foo.run
sh foo.run
