The CMI9738 works with the OSS i810_audio driver and the ALSA intel8x0 driver, as it is AC97 compatible (I have an ECS board with this chipset - I use the ALSA driver). Your Fedora 1 install should include the i810_audio driver. You should be able to load it with (run as root) "modprobe i810_audio". Make sure the following 3 lines are in the file /etc/modules.conf: alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || : pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || : The ALSA drivers are available at fedora.us or freshrpms.net: http://freshrpms.net/docs/alsa/ (just replace references to snd-maestro3 with snd-intel8x0) http://www.fedora.us/pkglists/fedora-1-stable.html Hope this helps!
