I've only done this once before, and it was quite a while ago. BUT, I believe you do have to run a software utility to get the drive operating as a RAID array. I set this up under RH8 (I think it was), and I think that it found the array automatically, but there were some things I had to do to get it working right. Seems like it was something to do with raidutil and the /dev/md device, but it's been too long to know for sure. I don't know if it will help or not, but I found this link on a quick google.... http://www.ram.org/computing/linux/dpt_raid.html -Charlie -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of kaze Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2004 7:57 PM To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Raid 1 I might be totally wrong, but if you set up the RAID as hardware RAID, from the OS's point of view there is only one hard drive - so there is _no_ OS / software stuff to do. --> -----Original Message----- --> From: fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx --> [mailto:fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Robert Hartung* --> Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2004 9:21 PM --> To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx --> Subject: Raid 1 --> --> --> --> --> Hi all, --> I have a functioning FC1 with all updates.
