Yes, it's possible. On one pc, use mutt as console based e-mail client. Then, on the same pc, setup an imap server. Then, remote, use evolution to access, via imap, the mail folders mutt uses. You have ssh access, so you may make your imap traffic secure with ssh portforwarding.
