That's fine. Let's now take a look to my numbers :-(
The same problem i've had with 5336 (GF4Ti on KT333).

with 4496:
$ glxgears
12576 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2515.200 FPS
17463 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3492.600 FPS
17328 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3465.600 FPS
17465 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3493.000 FPS
17325 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3465.000 FPS
17471 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3494.200 FPS

with 5336:
$ glxgears
29 frames in 5.0 seconds =  5.800 FPS
33 frames in 5.0 seconds =  6.600 FPS
32 frames in 5.0 seconds =  6.400 FPS
33 frames in 5.0 seconds =  6.600 FPS

dmesg start with:

0: nvidia: loading NVIDIA Linux x86 nvidia.o Kernel Module  1.0-5328  Wed Dec 17 13:54:51 PST 2003
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000010

I think the right place for this is the nvideo driver forum thread. Anyone disagree?
