Serial ATA and SiI 3112A controller

Hi there,

Has anyone had any experience with the SiI 3112A SATA controller (part od
ASUS A7N8X board)? I am considering getting a new system with Serial ATA
disks only and I need to install FC1 on a "virgin" system. I learned here
that, for example, Intel ICH5R seems to work fine (ASUS P4P800 board) but
what about other controllers, especially if one wants to go with Athlon.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Andy
