I was able to successfully compile the latest beta by turning off some of the debugging options. I'm going to try again with 21.4.14 and see what I can get to work. I don't use GNOME (nor KDE for that matter) so maximizing isn't an issue. Here is the configure command I used for the successful build: ./configure --error-checking=none This was with xemacs-21.5.16.tar.gz. If I get a successful build with 21.4.14, I'll write and post a spec file so people can make their own rpms out of it.
