1. use /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins (not mozilla-<version>), this is where
mozilla is looking for plugins.

2. Why not use the rpms???

and
http://macromedia.mplug.org/apt/fedora/1/RPMS.macromedia/flash-plugin-6.0.79-2.i386.rpm

no more configuration necessary.
