Don't be too hard on your neighbour downstairs; he is simply a victim of the institutionalised bigotry against anything and everything non-WinTel, perpetuated by consumer retail and business. Although it could be argued that if he isn't part of the solution, he's part of the problem; it's better to educate than to criticise. I'm not suggesting you did "have a go" at him, but it's an easy trap to fall into, and something I'm often guilty of. - K.
