Well, the OP has still problems to solve the issue. And it seems he did
misconfigure his apache. :)


The simplest answer is to redirect with PHP.


O no, certainly not. This would be the last reasonable solution to
redirect with PHP/HTML. Too much space for users to access content
through HTTP when they should only be able to work through HTTPS. The
more complex the web content the more horrible such PHP redirect would
be.

Certainly you can go by feet if your car stops driving :)
