When I tried this the first time, the install died during the post-install configuration due to the X server crashing. It turns out that despite entering the settings for the laptop display (1400x1050 Flat Panel) Anaconda appears to still use the "probed" information, during the initial boot. For my laptop that is monitor = unknown. Not the best combination to hope for. After running the text based install (which was successful!), the problem still exists, but I was able to change the display hardware from Generic CRT 1024x768 to Dell Laptop Display 1400x1050. And would you believe it, it works much better. Since you were preparing to load this on a laptop as well, I thought you might want to know. Best of luck!
