Hi Marcel, > Did you try on mounting the dvd on some other dvd-rom player? Yup, tried it on the other DVD-ROM drive in the computer and it wouldn't work. Also tried it on my XP notebook's DVD drive and Windows wouldn't touch it either. > PS: why do you create iso file beforehand. Growisofs can do that for you > and it maght save you some disk space: > > growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/cdrom -R -V "volume name" holding.tar.aa Done that previously and growisofs said it wrote it fine but after mounting the new disk I could only see a file of 13MB not 4GB! -- Regards, +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Peter Kiem .^. | E-Mail : <zordah@xxxxxxxxxx> | | Zordah IT /V\ | Mobile : +61 0414 724 766 | | IT Consultancy & /( )\ | WWW : www.zordah.net | | Internet Services ^^-^^ | ICQ : "Zordah" 866661 | +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ My current spamtrap address is est1203@xxxxxxxxxx
