FYI, the following bugzilla is tracking the original (not switched channel problem) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=107972 I believe the bad rpm issue with noarch.rpms is because of the bad 'yum' header.info which is inconsitant with the files on the ftp server. I think up2date also uses the yum repository hence this error bites up2date as well.
