I don't CC anyone in a list, but I just discovered a list message with
about 5 CCs or additional addresses. I removed all but the list and the
message originator. I don't know how many cc's I have replied to before
I caught it.

Is this necessary?

Do these people appreciate getting carbon copies of mails which don't
even reply to what they have written?
