All of our printing here at this office goes through a Redhat 6.2 server running LPR. The print jobs are then routed to the network printers or to other print servers with locally attached printers. I installed Fedora Core 1 and am having problems configuring printing. When I do an lpstat -t, I get the following: scheduler is running system default destination: ml2152w device for hp8550: lpd://penguin/hp8550 device for ml2152w: lpd://penguin/ml2152w device for ricoh1075: lpd://penguin/ricoh1075 hp8550 accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00 ml2152w accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00 ricoh1075 accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00 printer hp8550 disabled since Jan 01 00:00 - Connected from port 515... printer ml2152w disabled since Jan 01 00:00 - Connected from port 515... printer ricoh1075 disabled since Jan 01 00:00 - Connected from port 515... hp8550-4 root 15360 Tue 18 Nov 2003 02:48:05 PM EST ml2152w-5 root 15360 Tue 18 Nov 2003 02:48:10 PM EST ricoh1075-6 root 15360 Tue 18 Nov 2003 02:48:15 PM EST If I clear the print jobs and then issue a /usr/bin/enable hp8550 (or any other printer) then the printer does enable, but when I try to send it a test page, it immediately disables it again. What do I need to do to get this working so that I can print?
